Italian Stuffed Mushrooms 14 large mushrooms
Lemon juice
1/2 lb. sweet Italian sausage
Salt and pepper to taste
Clean mushrooms thoroughly using a mushroom brush. Remove
the mushroom stem (reserve them) and brush the mushroom caps
with the lemon juice. Remove the sausage from the casing and
place in a bowl. Chop the mushroom stem and add them to the
bowl with salt and pepper. Mix all ingredients well. Using a
teaspoon full of the sausage mixture stuff the mushroom caps,
rounding them out. Place the stuffed mushrooms on a greased
cookies sheet. Bake at 375F. degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or
until sausage is cooked through. Excellent appetizer!
