lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (14.5 ox) diced tomatoes with juice
1 14oz jar pizza sauce
1 4.5 oz can diced green chilies, drained
1 cup Mexican-style shredded cheese
2 scallions, chopped
Tortilla chips
Heat large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add
beef, onion, garlic, chili powder and salt. Cook, stirring
occasionally until beef is browned,10 minutes. Drain. Stir
in beans, tomatoes, sauce and chilies. Bring to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer until mixture is thickened, about
20 minutes. Transfer to serving dish, sprinkle with cheese
and scallions. Serve with chips
